Q: What is EXUDE?
Here’s the short answer:
EXUDE is the title of my first (unpublished as-of-yet) book.
But EXUDE is more than just my first book; it’s pretty much my first *everything* … from cover design and spread layouts to all the writings and all the art, it’s my first deep-dive stab at authoring and producing a real live printed book for Amazon KDP.
I’m also publishing EXUDE under my independent brand — Sirenella Press; an additional layer of publishing excitement to be sure.
Q: So what’s this book all about?
This labor of love, aka EXUDE, blends autobiography and rhyme with mixed media art and creative writing.
The book exudes (pardon the pun) a visual diarist’s take on life, love, and the tenuous spaces in between.
Q: How far along are you on the book?
At the time of this writing, I’m like:
- 80% done with the writings
- 80% done with the art
- 50% done with the book design
- 0% done with the cover art
So things are progressing nicely but I still have a ways to go.
Q: When will you be done?
Ideally, EXUDE would be available by Fall 2024. But realistically, it may not be ready for purchase until early 2025.
I’ll share more progress as EXUDE further develops but for the time being, I just want to say that working on this book has been a lifelong goal and dream come true, one I can’t wait to share with you all.
